Account & Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your Simply SELL account and all associated data at any time. This page explains what data will be deleted, how to submit a request, and what to expect.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your account profile (name, email address, phone number)
- Business information (store name, address, settings)
- Product catalog data (products, categories, brands)
- Customer records created within the App
- User preferences and app settings
- Usage analytics linked to your account
Data That May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained for a limited period as required by law:
- Transaction records: Sales and financial transaction data may be retained for up to 7 years as required by Japanese tax and commercial law
- Legal compliance data: Information necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements
Retained data will be anonymized where possible and securely deleted once the legal retention period expires.
How to Request Account Deletion
Option 1: From Within the App
- Open the Simply SELL app
- Go to Settings
- Tap Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your request
Option 2: Via Email
Send a deletion request to sales@capeleaf.com with the following information:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your Simply SELL account
- Your store/business name (for verification)
Processing Timeline
- Deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receipt
- You will receive an email confirmation once your account and data have been deleted
- During the processing period, your account will be deactivated
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before submitting a deletion request, please ensure you have exported or backed up any data you wish to keep. All products, transaction history, and customer records will be permanently removed.
